Mike Evans Closing in on NFL History

Published by Cory Hays on

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans has been the most consistent player in the NFL since being drafted by Tampa in 2014. Evans has had 1,000 or more receiving yards in every single season so far in his career which is tied with Hall of Fame WR Randy Moss for the most ever in a career. After yesterday’s game against the Lions, Evans is inching closer to NFL history for himself.

Mike Evans now has 960 receiving yards on the season. The Buccaneers host the Falcons next week in week 17 and if Evans gets 40 yards or more, he will become the first player in NFL history to start their career with seven straight 1,000 yard seasons. Throughout the year, it didn’t look like he was going to get close to 1,000 yards but here we are. Evans will likely be targeted plenty next Sunday to accomplish this goal in the regular season finale on the way to the playoffs. Lets Go Bucs and Lets Go Mike!
