Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin Could Miss Multiple Games with Hamstring Injury
Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin has not been able to find any luck lately when it comes to injuries. At the end of last season, Godwin suffered a hamstring injury which cost him the last two games of the season. The injury bug continued week one when Godwin was hit by Saints S D.J. Swearinger resulting in a concussion. Godwin was forced to miss week two due to that concussion and came back healthy for week three against the Broncos but that was very short-lived.
According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Godwin could potentially miss multiple games with the latest hamstring injury suffered on Sunday. It’s not a good sign for a player’s availability when they get hurt and are immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game as Godwin was against the Broncos. Godwin went in for an MRI yesterday and should hear the results of the extent of the hamstring injury soon. Hamstring injuries linger throughout careers so hopefully Godwin’s hamstring injury doesn’t affect him long term.
