Buccaneers Elevate RB/KR Kenjon Barner to Active Roster for Week 3

Published by Cory Hays on

The Buccaneers have elevated RB/KR Kenjon Barner from the practice squad to the active roster this week putting the roster at 54 players. This is the first week that the Buccaneers decided to only elevate one player. This season, teams are allowed to elevate two practice squad players each week to have an active roster of 55 players. Barner will automatically head back to the practice squad on Monday without having to clear waivers. This can only be done twice for a single player before the player has to clear waivers. Barner could be used as the primary return man as Jaydon Mickens has zero return yards through two games.
