Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians on His Criticism of QB Tom Brady After Sunday’s Game at New Orleans
The media is running with Arians criticism of Brady’s performance specifically the two interceptions that he threw. Bruce Arians spoke to Buccaneer media and had the following to say about the criticism:
“Tom and I are fine, so I really don’t care what other people think. It’s just what he and I think. We left the stadium fine [and] we showed up today fine, so there [is] nothing to talk about.”
Members of the national media took what Bruce said about Brady and his interceptions and made it into a huge story. Arians said in a press conference after Sunday’s game that Brady made a bad decision resulting in a pick six and also that Brady overthrew Mike Evans on a route resulting in another interception. Arians later retracted that statement about Brady throwing to Evans and said that Evans was in the wrong for that one. Bruce Arians isn’t shy about speaking out when his players play bad and he’ll let them know both publicly and in private. Don’t expect the working relationship between Arians and Brady to fail though because of criticism. Brady has been in the league over 20 years so he can handle it and make notes on how to improve.
