Buccaneers Making Push to Sign Leonard Fournette

Published by Cory Hays on

According to multiple sources, the Buccaneers are one of the teams pursuing RB Leonard Fournette. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo says that the Buccaneers are pursuing and Albert Breer says that the team is a serious suitor for Fournette. In his career in Jacksonville, Fournette has rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns. If the Buccaneers wanted to sign Fournette, the team would have to make another roster move this close to final roster cuts.

The team currently has Ronald Jones II, LeSean McCoy, Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Dare Ogunbowale, and Raymond Calais signed to the roster at the RB position. Jones II is believed to be the guy moving forward getting the majority of the carries but it could be interesting to see if the team brings in Fournette to compliment Jones II and give Tom Brady another weapon. Stay tuned Bucs fans! 11 more days until week one.
