Buccaneers S Justin Evans Health Update

Published by Cory Hays on

Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians held a zoom call with local reporters today. One of the topics was Buccaneers Safety Justin Evans. Arians said that Evans will be the only player on the roster not ready for the season and will start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list once again. Evans has had nagging foot and achilles injuries in his NFL career with Tampa Bay so this move is not surprising as he continues to rehab and possibly join the roster eventually.

If Evans can return, he will have a hard time finding a place to fit in on the active roster as the team has Jordan Whitehead, Mike Edwards, rookie Antoine Winfield Jr., and D’Cota Dixon who was worthy of a roster spot last season before injuring himself in training camp. Hopefully, Justin Evans can recover and come back at the same level that he played at before his injuries but for now we wish him the best as he continues to recover.
