One Buccaneers Coach Tested Positive for COVID-19
According to ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter, one Buccaneers assistant coach tested positive for coronavirus. The coach that tested positive for COVID-19 was asymptomatic and is doing well. Two other Buccaneers assistant coaches have been quarantined as well. No word on if the quarantine is due to being around this coach or because they likely have been exposed to COVID-19. The coach and or coaches are not the only ones who tested positive recently for the virus as several Texans and Cowboys players including Ezekiel Elliott did too.
Testing positive comes as no surprise to anybody right now as cases are surging in the state of Florida. Just yesterday, 3,207 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the state which was the most in a single day in Florida since the pandemic began. You can say that a majority of things factor into this which includes more testing but the lack of precautions and mask wearing also play a factor. The state of Florida is being looked at as the next epicenter of the virus as it trends upward in numbers. It’s better to catch positive cases of coronavirus now instead of later if the NFL believes that they will have their 2020 season.
