Report: Jaguars Offered RB Leonard Fournette to Buccaneers

Published by Cory Hays on

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jacksonville Jaguars offered the Buccaneers RB Leonard Fournette. The Buccaneers declined the offer and decided to draft RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn out of Vanderbilt with the 76th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Jaguars previously declined a trade offer by the Buccaneers on Thursday to move up to pick 9 so the offer for Fournette and also his $4 million contract were likely why the Buccaneers didn’t accept. Vaughn fits the Bruce Arians offense for pass protection and explosiveness alongside Ronald Jones II so it looks like Arians and Jason Licht made the correct decision.
