REPORT: Buccaneers re-sign former CFL Star Bryant Mitchell.
Tampa Bay just got some new free-agency news, but not what we expected. ESPN’s Adam Achefter reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former CFL Star Bryant Mitchell.
He was signed with the team last season but unfortunately tore his Achilles during Training Camp.
Bryant Mitchell played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League. In total he played 19 games for the Eskimos catching 97 passes for 1,418 yards with six touchdowns. He went undrafted out of Northwestern State in 2016 & had a brief stint with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now he will be catching passes from Mike Reilly to Tom Brady. Not too bad.
Mitchell was set for exclusive rights free agency. Welcome back Bryant!
