Published by Cory Hays on

In today’s Buccaneer news, Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston has once again made a big contribution to one of his communities. This time, Winston has made a big donation to his alma mater of Hueytown High School. The amount that Winston donated was $100,000. This money is being split up between football and baseball programs. The High School football program will receive $75,000 while the middle school football and baseball programs will receive $15,000 and the high school baseball program will receive the remaining $10,000. This is the second donation that Winston made this month as he donated $50,000 to Miles College football last week. Winston said of his donation “It’s a blessing that I’m able to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I hope this donation will help encourage kids to excel academically and athletically.” Credit goes to channel 6 WBRC out of Birmingham, AL for the story.
