Super Bowl 37 MVP Dexter Jackson Surprises Military Veteran with Super Bowl Tickets

Published by Cory Hays on

This morning, news station WTSP out of Tampa and St. Petersburg ran a story about Buccaneers Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson surprising a Pinellas Park military veteran with Super Bowl XLIV (54) tickets. Mike Delancey served in the Marines before an injury in Iraq in 2006 left him paralyzed. Jackson surprised Delancey with the tickets in partnership with the Wounded Warriors Project and the NFL. Delancey said “to have a Super Bowl MVP come out and give me tickets… I remember watching him my senior year of High School. It’s an absolute dream.”

This is a very classy move by Jackson, the Wounded Warriors Project and the NFL. As a member of the armed forces currently, I thank Mike Delancey for his service and his sacrifices for the United States of America and hope he has a blast at the Super Bowl!
