Ronald Jones II Named Starter at Running Back

Published by Cory Hays on

Today, Head Coach Bruce Arians said in his press conference that RB Ronald Jones II will be the Buccaneers starting RB. Jones II started in Seattle and scored a rushing TD on the opening drive. It was a change of pace from Peyton Barber carrying the rock to begin games this season. Jones II has been more consistent this season and took over the role from Barber. On Sunday, Jones II rushed 18 times for 67 yards which averaged out to 3.72 yards per carry. On the season, Jones has 381 rushing yards and 124 receiving yards. This is a big move for the future of the Buccaneers as Jones II will be the future of the backfield.
