NFL Reaches Out to Bucs After Blown Call
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the NFL reached out to the Buccaneers about the blown call in the fourth quarter of the Titans game. If you don’t know, the Buccaneers were potentially screwed out of a victory because a referee decided to blow a play dead where a fumble occurred. Reaching out to an organization is good and all but it doesn’t change the outcome of the game. Head Coach Bruce Arians spoke out about the referees being accountable for their actions in the games like coaches and players and they should be. If players, coaches, and management can be fired or fined then referees should as well. The NFL needs to take action and make sure calls like this don’t continue to happen throughout the league.

The NFL contacted the Bucs over the early whistle that cost Tampa Bay a go-ahead touchdown on a fumble recovery Sunday, according to a source – a mea culpa of sorts from Al Riveron. The NFL did something similar two weeks ago with the Trey Flowers penalties vs. Green Bay.
