Impact Players to Watch Week 5 Bucs Vs Saints

Published by Kevin Sloan on

Hey! Hey! Tampa Bay fans! It’s another week of Buccaneers football coming off of that huge win last Sunday against the reigning NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams and QB Jared Goff in the city of Angels. The Buccaneers head down to the Big Easy to face Teddy Bridgewater and fellow NFC South rival New Orleans Saints for a possible spot in the lead in the NFC South. For this week’s game, my impact players of the week are Buccaneers stud Linebacker Shaq Barrett and Saints Running Back Alvin Kamara.

Shaquil (Shaq) Barrett:
Going into a contract year, Shaquil aka Shaq Barrett came from the Denver Broncos to sign a 1 year deal with the Bucs in the off-season. This became the talk of the NFL. He is the current sack leader with nine sacks on the season in four games and recently won the NFL Defensive Player of the month award. Barrett has been the alpha in the Bucs Defense making splash plays all over the field including a forced fumble that was returned by former Ram now Buccaneer Ndamukong Suh in last week’s game to break the Bucs record of points in a game in a 55-40 defeat of the LA Rams.

Alvin Kamara:
Kamara is an all-purpose weapon that is going into the season to keep building himself into being a complete running back. His speed and ability to be a game-changer is something the Saints are going to lean on with the absence of their franchise QB Drew Brees who is out due to a thumb injury. He facing a Buccaneers defense who kept the game’s top RBs in check including McCaffrey, Barkley, and Gurley. The Bucs Defense is leading in the NFL in rush defense. In Yahoo’s fantasy football, he is currently projected to get 17.9 pts.
