The Buccaneers have had a history of being on Thursday Night Football as has the rest of the NFL. It used to be a requirement to play one TNF game a season. Below will be the previous five Thursday Night Football games from 2013-2017 that the Bucs have played in and the result of each with QB stats.

2013 Bucs vs Panthers: 31-13 Carolina; Mike Glennon 30/51 275 yards 1 TD 0 INT

2014 Bucs vs Falcons: 56-14 Atlanta; Mike Glennon 17/24 121 yards 1 TD 0 INT, Josh McCown 5/12 58 yards 0 TD 1 INT

2015 Bucs vs Rams: 31-23 St. Louis; Jameis Winston 29/50 363 yards 2 TD 1 INT

2016 Bucs vs Falcons-: 43-28 Atlanta; Jameis Winston 23/37 261 yards 3 TD 0 INT, Mike Glennon 10/11 75 yards 1 TD 0 INT

2017 Bucs vs Patriots: 19-14 New England; Jameis Winston 26/46 334 yards 1 TD 0 INT

In their last five TNF games, the Buccaneers are 0-5. This record doesn’t bode well as the team seems to not perform well in primetime football games. Tonight’s game against Carolina will be Bruce Arians first primetime game as the Head Coach of the Buccaneers. Lets hope that the team can change the narrative about primetime football for Tampa and beat the Panthers.

If you look closely at the above results, the Bucs game point loses were less steadily with Jameis and Koetter. But the TNF game WIN came with BA. Who still told JW after 3 ints last week to let it FLY TNF! Go BUCS!!!
