Head Coach Bruce Arians on What S Darian Stewart Brings to the Defense

Published by Cory Hays on

On Tuesday, Bruce Arians spoke to the media about the first joint practice between the Bucs and Dolphins. Arians also spoke on the signing of Veteran Safety Darian Stewart. Below is what Arians had to say via Buccaneers.com:

“Yeah, [he is] a veteran player who’s still got a lot in the tank. [He] was a Pro Bowl player and a very smart player, so he should be able to get up to speed real quick.”

It looks like Arians plans to keep Stewart around this season. Stewart brings a different type of attitude to Tampa after being the starter in Denver for four seasons. Darian Stewart brings in a super bowl mentality to this young secondary and it can be very beneficial for them. When Stewart starts to practice with the team, he should catch on very quickly just like Arians said.
