Vita Vea at DE? Don’t Tempt Them!

Published by Leonard Leon on

At 6 foot 4 and 347 pounds, Vita Vea is a monster of a man. Playing DT always allows Vita to be double teamed in games. However, he got some time in at practice playing some DE.

While playing DE, Vita flew off of the edge and got a sack. With the team signing Ndamukong Suh earlier in the off-season, this allows much versatility and flexibility amongst the defensive line. Vita Vea’s strength has never been in question.

During the 2018 NFL Combine, he would put up 41 reps on the bench press. And with Vita running a 5.10 40 yard dash at nearly 350 pounds, his size and strength combination will give an offensive tackle big problems. Vita is currently nursing a knee injury after going down in a collision at practice. Hopefully all is well with Vea when the diagnosis comes out.
