Jameis Winston on Training Camp Progress

Published by Cory Hays on

QB Jameis Winston was asked if he feels he is making progress this training camp at his press conference on Tuesday. Here is what Winston had to say on Buccaneers.com:

“I feel like we as a team are getting better day by day, and those are the specific goals for training camp – to grow as a team. When you grow as a team and you get comfortable with everybody being around you, that’s when consistency shows up in every position.”

Winston is a very unselfish player so he turns the question around and makes it about the team. He feels like the whole entire team is making progress day by day and that’s something to look forward to as Bucs fans and media. Jameis speaks with confidence when describing his team and knows that being consistent will be the key to finally getting over the hump and making them playoffs. If Arians and company truly can limit Winston’s turnovers and the team can limit their mistakes, then this is going to be a season that Bucs fans can speak in high regard about.
