Don’t Sleep: The Buccaneers WILL make noise this year.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DB M.J. Stewart was on Good Morning Football talking about Buccaneers football. He called the Bucs a “sleeper team.” Is he right? I believe he is. The Buccaneers were long overdue for a culture change.
Quarterback guru Bruce Arians came to Tampa Bay and he immediately had his sights set on changing the culture. He would bring with him an ALL Star caliber staff to bring some experience and notoriety to Tampa. With arguably the most well rounded staff in their division, the Bucs brought in a lot of under the radar guys. These players included Shaquil Barrett, Deone Bucannon and Breshad Perriman.
Bringing in rookies Devin White, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Mike Edwards, Jamel Dean, Anthony Nelson, Scotty Miller, and Matt Gay will also help the team with depth and competition. Noah Spence and Vernon Hargreaves III are two of the most improved players so far in Training Camp. Not only did the Bucs change to a hybrid Defense but they also released long time veteran and captain Gerald McCoy and brought in one of the baddest men in the game, Ndamukong Suh.
The Bucs are flying very under the radar. This will definitely be a season to remember.
