DeAngelo Hall Compares Devin White to Ray Lewis

Published by Miles Fuca on

Devin White has been compared to many great linebackers. The list ranges from Bobby Wagner to Patrick Willis, but on June 26th, former all-pro cornerback DeAngelo Hall went on NFL Networks Good Morning Football and stated that Devin White has a motor like Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis.

“He runs all over the field. He’s a Ray Lewis type of player. All-Pro type of player,” Hall praised. Nate Burleson quickly tried to make Hall refrain from going further, shouting “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” But Hall didn’t budge and proceeded to say, “I’m telling you. He’s that type of player.”

Hall is one of the greatest cornerbacks from the 2000s. And he has seen great linebackers in his time. For him to rave about White like this, means a lot. If Devin White can be even half the player Lewis was in his rookie year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense will be greatly improved and perhaps even that top 10 defense the Tampa Bay Area misses so much.
