Carolina Panthers Sign CB Javien Elliott
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost another player this offseason to the Carolina Panthers. This time it was CB Javien Elliott. Javien Elliott signed a 1 year year deal with the Panthers. Elliott came to Tampa as an undrafted free agent in 2016 after being a walk on at Florida State and bounced between the active roster and practice squad for 3 seasons.
In his 3 seasons in Tampa, Elliott started 7 games and had 39 tackles and 1 interception. Elliott was more of a depth piece and a special teams player while he was in Tampa. The previous coaching staff liked Elliott and what he brought in as an UDFA. Elliott now goes on to team with Gerald McCoy once again in Carolina. The Bucs will play both men twice this season in Week 2 and Week 6.
