In Vinny We Trust?! Part II

Published by Kevin Sloan on

Heading into the start of the various offseason programs the Buccaneers have their projected star rookie linebacker in Devin White their 1st round pick of this years’ NFL Draft and others including a certain quarterback who has ties to the franchise in Quarterback Vincent Testaverde son of former Buccaneers franchise quarterback Vinny Testaverde. He was signed by the Buccaneers to participate in the team’s rookie mini-camp program from May 10th to 12th at the Advent Health Training Center at One Buc Place.

Testaverde started his collegiate career at the Texas Tech University where he has one game of playing experience before transferring to the University of Miami where his father played at and won a national title and under that huge spotlight he did not even get a chance to play for the team and eventually transferred out to the University of Albany where he started for the “Great Danes” for eight games where he contributed for 1,714 yards and 11 touchdowns with his completion percentage at 53.4%.

For Testaverde it’s a chance to be able to live out his professional dream for at least making the squad where his dad once started and did have a solid career here and is the all-time leading passer currently for the Buccaneers with being the first overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft from the “U” before moving on to other teams during his long NFL career.

Here’s to you Vincent Good Luck.
