We are only a few weeks away until the NFL Draft. Teams are getting workouts and visits scheduled with their top individual targets. Tampa Bay has been linked to a few top defensive players. In the last Mock Draft 1.0, targeting Greedy Williams is because of the lack of depth/skill at the cornerback position. We switched it up a bit so here is the ATB Mock Draft 2.0:

FULL ROUND 1:

THREE ROUND SELECTION:

RECAP:

ROUND 1) The first selection is a common no-brainer. Adding MLB Devin White would be the instant replacement for Kwon Alexander. Tampa Bay is poised to switch to a 3-4/Hybrid scheme. Todd Bowles has made it clear the Buccaneers are in need of a MLB to play along side of Deone Buccannon. Adding the stud LSU LB in Devin White would solidify that Middle Linebacker spot as they have solid depth in Kevin Minter (who played under Arians in Arizona) and could now free up flexibility for Deone Buccannon. It has been rumored the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have called the New York Jets on MLB Darron Lee, that would cost a draft pick or two.

ROUND 2) Adding Jeffrey Simmons would be a complete steal in the second round. Simmons is expected to go in the top 20-late 1st round of this years draft. Simmons would cause havoc along side of last years 2018 1st round pick Vita Vea. Assuming DT Gerald McCoy won’t be back in 2019, Simmons would be a solid addition to the new Tampa Bay defense.

ROUND 3) Deebo Samuel is a 2nd round target for a WR. Chances are he gets to the third round is possible but unlikely. Samuel presents a wide range of versatility in an NFL Offense. He only stands at 5’11 but plays big. He is able to play on the outside but his speed and quick feet causes great separation, which is extremely noticeable. He also can field kick-returns which Tampa Bay hasn’t had in a while. Bruce Arians loves his speed, maybe a possible  trade to get into the late second round?
