The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among last in the entire NFL in salary cap space. Reports come out Friday afternoon that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have converted $3-million of WR Mike Evans’ $20-million base salary into a roster bonus. This will not free up any room on the Salary cap. Field Yates of ESPN had the report first. Greg Auman of The Athletic, went out to tweet that they won’t receive additional cap space in response to Yates’ tweet.

Mike Evans has been a thousand yard receiver since entering the league. In 2018, Evans played in all 16 regular season games. He had 86 catches with 1,524 yards and 8 touchdowns. Mike Evans also earned his second Pro Bowl nod. It is a blessing to have this man on our team.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still at a league low $2.8 million in cap space. Expect more cuts/restructuring to happen if they want to add the rookie class or any additional Free Agents out there. Depth is everything.
