More news comes out Monday afternoon — It looks like Tampa has finally found their backup QB. Reports per Greg Auman (TBO), The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing Veteran Quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Gabbert has been around the league for quite sometime now. Mostly serving as a backup, he has had his fare share of playing time around the league. Blaine Gabbert was originally drafted 10th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011. Fun Fact: Gabbert actually played under former Buccaneers Head Coach, Dirk Koetter during his rookie year.
Safe to say…. Dirk probably isn’t that good with promising young Quarterbacks.

Signing a quality backup is great news for Tampa, considering the last two seasons. Jason Licht expects Blaine Gabbert to compete for the No. 2 Quarterback job against Ryan Griffin. As the deal is yet to be finalized. Expect the Buccaneers to announce the finalized contract details and announcement later this afternoon.
Check back for more details.
