Bruce Arians: Wednesday’s Notes

Published by All Things Bucs on

Bruce Arians quick takeaways at the 2019 NFL Combine Press Conference:

News came out recently about Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy. GM has been told he is expected to be back in 2019. Per Rick Stroud. Many believe he should take a pay cut or be released/traded. IMO Gerald McCoy may wreck more havoc under DC Todd Bowles 3-4/Hybrid Defense.

Bruce Arians on DT Gerald McCoy:

“I see him under contract &I see a heck of a player that you still have to game plan for, so I hope so.”

Right now, many people are saying Ronald Jones is a 2nd Round “Bust” … Maybe the team hasn’t given up on the former USC Trojan.

Bruce Arians on 2018 2nd Round Pick Ronald (RoJo) Jones: Per Trevor Sikkema (Pewter Report)

“He’s anxious to see if he can use Ronald Jones in similar ways to how he used David Johnson in Arizona.”

Many of us were not pleased about the effort & play of DeSean Jackson last season. Many of us expected he will be out of Tampa. Despite all the talk since mid season, DeSean Jackson still has one year left on his contract. Jameis Winston was live on Instagram and said “Djac is coming back” …. Bruce Arians said he sat down & talked to WR DeSean Jackson. Maybe BA could reignite his “will & desire” to play again.

“It went great. We had a long sit-down. I thought it went really well. I look forward to working with him.”

Will Jason Licht get a contract renegotiation?
