Adarius Taylor on The Rise
Last season with LB Kendell Beckwith out for the season ended the Bucs were in desperate need of a 3rd LB.
Throughout training camp Adarius Taylor, who went to Lake Gibson high school and Devante Bond competed for that 3rd LB spot and Taylor came out on top. As the season went on Taylor filled in admirably for Beckwith with 60 tackles, 1 INT, 5 pass defends, 1 forced fumble, and 4 TFL. Taylor started 10 games due to an injury to MLB Kwon Alexander, and the run stopper earned himself the title of captain of the special teams.
Newly Married in the summer of 2018 and a brand new baby (aptly named Apollo) born in the winter, it seems the gods have shown favor for the veteran LB, as Taylor’s career begins to rise.
The Bucs signed Glanton in 2015 off of the Carolina Panthers practice squad and began to develop the young LB out of Florida Atlantic. He proved to be an excellent athlete with a 4.59 FYD which is incredibly fast for an LB that stands 6’1 and weighs 230lbs.
With the new season and Kendell Beckwith’s return still up in the air, the Bucs will call on Taylor again, and this could be his chance to take his play to the next level.
