Impact Players for Week 13 Carolina Vs Tampa Bay

Published by Kevin Sloan on

“Hey! Hey! Tampa Bay”. Our Week 13 matchup for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faces the Carolina Panthers (6-5) at home in Raymond James Stadium in there last NFC South matchup of the season. After suffering an embarrassing defeat from RB Christian McCaffrey and the Panthers in their last matchup. The Bucs are looking to get some payback and help continue the current Panthers losing streak at 3 games

After QB Jameis Winston had one of his best games in the Buccaneers Pewter and Red having thrown for over 300 yards and 3 TDs against the San Francisco 49ners wounded defense. Winston clearly was being his best out on the football field with the timing of his throws and being patient with the football and having a no turnover game which gave Bucs fans an interesting performance of their franchise QB and showing that he could be here for the long run with the proper coaching and an improved defense.

For this week impact matchup, a matchup of two former PAC-10 stars in Buccaneers DT Vita Vea against Carolina’s young star RB Christian McCaffrey.

Vita Vea 1st Year Pro 6’4 345lbs Defensive Tackle Washington

For the Bucs, I wanted to focus on their new young defensive anchor of the Bucs defensive line. Vea had recently had a string of good games for the Buccaneers and after this weeks’ impressive performance. Vea had counted for 4 tackles with 1 sack and now I want more from the young man. After missing the Bucs first 4 games due to a nagging hamstring injury and conditioning, Vea is slowly working to get used to the Florida sun and the way of the NFL. A star coming out of Washington Vea was drafted 12th overall from the Bucs in this years’ past NFL draft.

He has a lot to learn but with playing next to star DE Jason Pierre-Paul and longtime Buccaneer captain in Defensive Tackle Gerald McCoy he is slowly blossoming into a nice piece here for the Bucs defense and the sky is the limit for Vea and his Buccaneer teammates. After the change of defensive coordinator from Mike Smith to Mark Duffner, they have been working to improve try to keep the other team’s offense off the field.

For fantasy football owners there is hope that the Bucs defense could turn it around and help someone gain some solid points from Yahoo fantasy football is looking at 4.6 in fantasy points in projection.

Christian McCaffrey 2nd Year Pro 5’11 205lbs Running Back Stanford

McCaffrey the son of former Denver Broncos great Ed McCaffrey burst into the scene of the NFL out of Stanford in the 2017 NFL draft by the Panthers. They hope the connection between father and son can pay off for the Panthers to get them to the next level. McCaffrey at Stanford was monster during his time there counted for almost 4,000 yards rushing and 23 TDs. He is slowly becoming an all-purpose weapon in the NFL with his ability to run and catch the football and return kicks. He is currently having an outstanding season with 10 TDs for the revamped Panthers offense.

For you fantasy owners, McCaffrey is a projected 18.29 in fantasy points per Yahoo fantasy football.
