Cincinnati Bengals vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Published by Justin Haas - KingKwon58 on

After two weeks straight of winning then three straight weeks of losing, our Bucs dogged deep last week to beat the Browns and set the sail again. After making our record against the AFC North 1-1, this week we travel to the jungle known as Cincinnati and face the 4-3 Bengals.

Tampa Bay last played Cincinnati in 2014 week 11 at Raymond James Stadium which was a heartbreaking lost falling 14-13. That game was one of the many many heartbreaking losses that season.

Tampa Bay holds the all-time series lead with a 7-4 all time record against Cincinnati. The Bengals are one of the few teams we hold the all time series over.

The Bengals are coming into this game with the 25th best ranked total offense and 31st ranked total defense. Going against another bad defense with the help of injuries to CB Darqueze Dennard, LB Nick Vigil, and key player Vontaze Burfict. Our offense lead by Jameis should have more than enough chances to score and never look back.

The Bucs defense isn’t good either sitting at 29th in total defense and without the soul of the defense Kwon Alexander out for the year with a ACL tear. It’s gonna be a challenge to see how we respond to any injury like that. I do think Cincinnati will get their chances especially with having Joe Mixon and AJ Green on the same offense, but I do believe the Bucs defense can handle them. Last week was the first time this year that we saw the defense coming in clutch and saving the game.

With this win the Bucs are looking for a 4-3 record and potentially 2nd place in the division if the Panthers lose to the Ravens.

Things I’m watching for

    • Jameis checking through all of his routes before throwing. Do not force a throw!
    • How much more work will Ronald Jones get since working with the first string all week
    • Mark Duffner progression with this defense
    • Good communication between all players
    • Turnovers, create turnovers not give up the ball
