Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Cleveland Browns

Published by Justin Haas - KingKwon58 on

It has been a rough stretch for the Bucs the past 3 games all resulting in losses. Our Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off of a very hard loss to the very badly injured Atlanta Falcons; this week we’re at home against the 2-3-1 Cleveland Browns in bright beautiful Tampa.

Tampa last played Cleveland in 2014 week 9 22-17 which was one of 14 losses for the embarrassing Bucs team. This year is a totally different year for both teams.

Cleveland holds the all-time series lead with a 6-3 all time record against Tampa Bay. Cleveland last visited us in 2010 which we won so hopefully the red and pewter at home strike again.

This matchup is premiering Jameis Winston who is making his first home start against rookie QB Baker Mayfield. The Buccaneers offense is facing a Browns defense that is known for takeaways, they are tied for the best turnover margin in the league with a +7. The Browns defense is also really good on third down to only allowing 31.33% of third down attempts.

The Bucs defense needs to be alive today and for a FULL 60 minute game. Hopefully Mark Duffner has lit a fire under the boys and throw new looks. Baker Mayfield needs to be disrupted back there constantly and not allow fellow rookie Nick Chubb break out.

The Buccaneers are looking for a 3-3 record to get the ship sailing again.

Things I’m watching for

    • Jameis’s patience, looked spectacular in the Falcons 2nd half with it
    • Peyton Barber’s progression from the last game. Keep it up or fall down?
    • Mark Duffner debut as DC and him being on the sideline
    • Players not looking lost on defense and good communication between all
