The Buccaneers let the fans know of some positive moves on Thursday…
Thursday was the Buccaneers first practice, coming off a 2-0 performance against the Eagles. Now the Buccaneers are set to face the Steelers on Monday Night Football and it had some fans wondering about Pittsburgh’s passing attack led by Big Ben & Antonio Brown.
Reports from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported this afternoon that #1 CB Brent Grimes is practicing today and is expected to play on Monday night. This is huge as Brent Grimes has yet to step on the field this season and we need all the power we can to stop AB and JuJu. Will he be rusty after not playing yet this year? Will he be fresh? Who knows but that is definitely a match-up. Chris Conte is reported to be back and running at practice per reports also. He suffered an injury last week.
More good news comes with our 2018 1st Round Draft Pick. Vita Vea is back practicing today after 7 weeks with a calf injury. In result, Buccaneers Head Coach Dirk Koetter said in the media that he has lost “15 pounds and has been working out a lot”…. His status will remain questionable. If he gets his debut on Monday, look out for him to help the Buccaneers run defense.
