POTB FAN-SPECIAL: Fan of the Year Gives His Take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Going into the season we had high hopes with hard knocks and the addition of Desean Jackson. It was a season with chaos, starting with the hurricane which led to the cancellation of our first game and having to go 16 straight without a bye.

With an injury to our starting quarterback, I believe Ryan Fitzpatrick did a great job filling in for the injured Winston. It’s a big deal losing your starting quarterback and I believe those reasons alone are why the Buccaneers didn’t succeed. I know the fans don’t want to hear that, but that is the truth!

Free Agency

The addition of Beau Allen, Vinny Curry, and Ryan Jensen were huge! They’re going to help the Bucs tremendously by allowing Ali Marpet to move back to guard. Not to mention with the draft coming up, I believe we will be defensive heavy during the draft but here’s something to keep an eye on. These are strictly my opinions …..

I could see the Bucs trading down to gain more picks in the Draft in order to build what Jason Licht wants his team to be. With that being said, here’s a couple of names to keep an eye on. A wish list, so to speak.

Derrius Guice, Running Back, LSU
Running back is a position of need right now. He’s a powerful back who comes from LSU, which those LSU Tigers have played well for us in previous years.

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Linebacker, Oklahoma

He’s relentless and very fast!

Derwin James, Safety, FSU

Safety is somewhat of a position of need and James is a very good player.

My “Dark Horse” is wide receiver Antonio Callaway from the University of Florida, even though receiver isn’t a huge need for this team. If he can remain out of trouble, he can be a special player. He has all the tools necessary to become a possession receiver.
